The library director of San Diego County, Jose Aponto, said that in an effort to promote reading to the people of San Diego, the county now provides a service that will benefit all those who have tablets, Kindle, Nexus, iPhones or iPads.

Thousands of titles are available on the county’s website, where you can also view videos of tutorials for tablet devices if you wish to make the change from paperback to digital.

To be able to have access to this service, you must have a valid library card.

Those who are interested in obtaining a library card must submit an application, which a photo ID and address is required. You can either use your passport or any other forms of identification that is issued by the DMV.

After all: “The more that you read, the more things you will know. The more that you learn, the more places you'll go.”
