At 5p.m. Wednesday afternoon, several group of supporters of Jorge Hank Rhon gathered at the “Cuauhtemoc” roundabout in the city of Tijuana, to show everyone their support and solidarity towards the engineer and member of the political party “PRI”.
This rally was organized from day to the next by the group “BC Women in support of Hank Rhon”, without the knowledge or approval of the candidate for governor, where also more than 2,000 people showed up to this event that had no incidents.
Previously, Fernando Castro Trenti was thought to be the official candidate to represent the PRI party in the race for Governor, but those were just rumors that the PRI has now dismissed as being true.
Not too long after, many supporters of Manuel Lopez Obrador and members of the youth activist group YoSoy132, started to make fun of the rally and criticized the people who were participating in it, by posting comments in various social networks.
The Institutional Revolutionary Party (PRI) has already made a call to all of the possible candidates, and has published all of the requirements that are needed to win the bid to be the party’s official candidate for the Governor’s race in Baja California.
The PRI will announce their party’s candidate on February 15, 2013.
