Previously, Fernando Castro Trenti was thought to be the official candidate to represent the PRI party in the race for Governor, but those were just rumors that the PRI has now dismissed as being true.

Not too long after, many supporters of Manuel Lopez Obrador and members of the youth activist group YoSoy132, started to make fun of the rally and criticized the people who were participating in it, by posting comments in various social networks.

The Institutional Revolutionary Party (PRI) has already made a call to all of the possible candidates, and has published all of the requirements that are needed to win the bid to be the party's official candidate for the Governor's race in Baja California.

The PRI will announce their party's candidate on February 15, 2013.
