According to Forbes magazine, Carlos Slim continues to be the richest man in the world.

In this list as one can notice, despite the difficult economic situation in the United States and abroad, Americans still remained among the wealthiest in the world.

Here are the top 10 that make up the list:

• Carlos Slim Helu with a fortune of 73 billion dollars.

• Bill Gates with 67 billion dollars

• Amancio Ortega with 57 billion dollars

• Warren Buffet with 53.5 billion dollars

• Larry Ellison with 43 billion dollars

• Charles Koch with a fortune of 34 billion dollars

• David Koch cin 34 billion dollars

• Li Ka-shing with 31 billion dollars

• Liliane Bettencourt and family with a fortune of 30 billion dollars

This is the fourth time that the Mexican Carlos Slim is in first place. And on another note, Liliane Bettencourt, the L'Oreal heiress returned to the top 10 once again and is the world's richest woman.

Amancio Ortega, who is the man behind the Spanish brand Zara, was the one who accumulated more wealth in the last 365 days, adding 19.5 billion dollars to his fortune, and knocking down Warren Buffet to the fourth spot on the list, which makes this the first time that he will not be in the top 3, a place that he has roamed around in since the year 2000.
