SAN DIEGO, CA.- Tijuana's obsession for baseball has always been one of the city’s proudest traditions and now fans will have 2 big reasons to be happy in April: the team Tijuana Toros will debut on the Northern Mexico League and the Mexico Diablos Rojos have announced that 2 series will be played in the border town.

Toros will start playing in April at Estadio Cerro Colorado, but the building will have a new tenant for one whole week when Diablos Rojos plays against Tabasco Olmecas and Campeche Piratas.

The series against Tabasco will be played from April 9 to the 11th, while the Campeche Pirates will visit Tijuana for a 3-game series on April 12, 13 and 14.

Both matches will be official for the 2013 regular season of Triple-A Mexican Baseball League (Liga Mexicana de Beisbol in Spanish) as the Diablos were forced out of their regular home, Foro Sol, because of already planned special events in Mexico State.

This will move will surely be well received by baseball lovers in Tijuana who are living below the shadow of the region’s most successful team: Mexican Soccer Champions Club Tijuana Xoloitzcuintles de Caliente.
