Pro-Basketball from Tijuana ready to start

Zonkeys will debut in a road trip through 2 states before the start at home

TIJUANA, BC.- Tijuana Zonkeys' players are ready for the start of the 2013 season of the Basketball Circuit of the Pacific Coast (Cibacopa in Spanish), which will start on Tuesday April 2nd in all the basketball courts in Sonora and Sinaloa.

The border squad will play against Garra Cañera in Navolato, before traveling to Nogales to take on the Fuerza Guinda; the players trained during the morning and the afternoon to be 100% ready for the new adventure to the championship.

The roster for the start of the season is led by Mexican National Team player, Omar Quintero, who is a local player by Cibacopa's rules as well as Luis "Chupa" Ramirez, Luis Rodriguez, Sergio Sanchez and Jose "Sheshe" Cardoso. They will be joined by Mexican-American, Dario Ramirez; and US players Marcus Morrison, James Penny and Gene Shipley.

Cleaning up the house

The Tijuana Municipal Government, together with the Government of the state of Baja California, and the directors of Tijuana Zonkeys, are working together to clean up the house of the team, Auditorio Municipal Fausto Gutierrez Guerrero before the start of the 2013 season of the Cibacopa.

All these changes are in benefit of the fans that will be able to enjoy a great show and with many benefits for the community, because the local athletes will be able to enjoy these changes in future events.
