Change of plans for Xolos: New schedule against Santos

The match will be played at 9:00 PM PST

SAN DIEGO, CA.- Club Tijuana Xoloitzcuitles de Caliente have successfully requested and have been approved a schedule change for their match against Santos this coming Saturday night at the Estadio Caliente. The Tijuana side are looking to give their players the maximum amount of rest after long travels to and from Bolivia for Copa Libertadores.

It was a long way to get to Oruro, Bolivia. It took two bus rides and two different flights to get the team from Toluca where they had played last Saturday to the sight of the Copa Libertadores match.

And it will be an even longer travel home; which includes bus ride to La Paz, layover in Colombia, layover in Mexico City, and finally home.

The new schedule is set for Saturday night at 9:00 PM (Pacific Standard Time) as oppose to 5:00 PM kick off. This way the Xolos squad will have an extra four hours rest.

This will be the second time this kind of change to the schedule has been made; their week 11 game against Monterrey was also rescheduled from 5:00 PM kick off to 9:00 PM after the Xolos had traveled to Brazil to face Corinthians earlier that week.

This game against Santos will be for the 13th week of the Clausura season of the Liga MX.
