Nicolas Maduro’s Twitter account hacked

Voting poles in Venezuela are now closed

A few moments ago the voting polls in Venezuela closed, but right before this the candidate Henrique Capriles said that Maduro was violating election rules for continuing to campaign on Election Day.

Members of Maduro’s cabinet came to his defense by saying that his account had been hacked. Moments after, various messages began to appear in the candidate’s account, including one where Lulz Security Peru claims to be the one who accomplished this.

This is not the first time that Maduro publishes something controversial. Previously, he had said that "Hugo Chavez appeared to me like a bird" or the reasons given for voting for him.

In other occasions when something was published, it was either someone from Maduro’s team or himself that would do this and not someone who belonged to the hacker group Anonymous.
