SAN DIEGO, CA.- According to information published midday today on the official Facebook page of the San Diego Clasico, Club Tijuana Xoloitzcuitles will be participating in it this coming July. The game will be held in Petco Park, and the San Diego fan base will once again have a chance to see the current Mexican league champions in action.
The home of the San Diego Padres will be hosting the San Diego Clasico for the first time. A game that has pitted the Xolos against rivals such as the Los Angeles Galaxy and Chivas USA of the MLS and most recently against Mexico City giants Club America with a very good crowd in attendance at Qualcomm Stadium.
The date and opponent was not reveled in the publication. But it is expected that tomorrow the official announcement will come. It will be interesting to see who will be making the trip to San Diego to take on the Xoloitzcuitles in this new edition of the San Diego Clasico.
