Best known as "Lady PROFECO"

A few minutes ago, the Mexican President Enrique Peña Nieto ordered the dismissal of Humberto Benitez Treviño, due to the use of "influences" employed by his daughter Andrea Benitez, best known as "Lady PROFECO."

All of the officials from PROFECCO who were involved in the shutting down of a restaurant, including Benitez, who is now the former head of the Mexican Federal Consumer Protection Agency, have been all fired.

Miguel Angel Osorio Chong, Secretary of Government, was commissioned to publically make this announcement after the decision that was made by the Mexican president, stressing that every public official is expected to act ethically and professionally.

This all started when Andrea Benitez went to the Maximo Bistrot restaurant in Mexico City. And complained about waiting 30 minutes for a table, to which she then using the influence of her father, succeeded in temporarily closing this establishments doors.

Subsequently, Humberto Benitez publicly apologized for the attitude of his daughter, but President Enrique Peña Nieto had already ordered an investigation on this matter, which has now culminated in the termination of Humberto Benitez Treviño.
