More child pornography cases in Puerto Rico

They could spend a minimum of ten years in prison

Two more child pornography cases have recently surfaced in Puerto Rico, where a teacher and a prison officer were arrested by U.S. authorities in San Juan, Puerto Rico, in separate child pornography cases, reported the chief federal prosecutor, Rosa Emilia Rodriguez.

The federal prosecutor said in a statement that the Rigel Colon Cruzado was arrested Monday after investigators knew that the man was having sexual conversations with a 12 year old minor.

Rodriguez said the investigation revealed that the girl was a seventh grade student of Colon Cruzado, who was a physical education teacher.

Meanwhile in another case, prison officer Angel Marrero Hernandez was arrested last Friday for inciting a 15 year old minor to exchange naked photos of each other through mobile phones.

Both men were sent to the judge Sylvia Carreño Coll, who ordered the men to be admitted to the Federal Prison in Guaynabo, and wait for their sentencing which could be a minimum of ten years in prison.

This is not the first case that has recently been reported in Puerto Rico. Just a few weeks ago a Pfizer executive identified as Reinaldo Diaz Camacho, 48, known as "Rei Diaz", was arrested after police received information of someone who was having conversations of sexual nature with a 16 year old minor through the social network Facebook.
