Mohamed in doubt if Xolos advances in Libertadores

New coach?

There is a rumor going around in the national press in Mexico that says that Antonio "Turco" Mohamed would not continue on as manger of the Xolos in case of advancing to the semifinals stage of the Copa Libertadores.

The reason is because the Copa Libertadores would be halted after the quarterfinals and would resume after the FIFA Confederations Cup which will be held in Brazil. It would not by until July when the Libertadores would resume; which is about the same time as the Liga MX preseason, since the local league is set to begin on July 19 of this year.

According to the newspaper Record this is what Mohamed said:

"This could be my last game here, we'll play in Brazil and then my contract will be up. If we advance to semifinals, we'll see what happens. If the club directors want me to keep going I would be happy to, but I'm not about to tell them how to run their team. I am respectful and so is the club. The first conflict is the schedule, this tournament need to end in June not July or August, but the Confederations Cupmhas set things back. Also the Mexican league Draft is around those days, the new coach needs time to work and plan the new season" explained Mohamed.

Most likely, the new Xolos manger will manage the team in the Copa Libertadotes in case of advancing pass Atletico Mineiro; since Mohamed's contract is up in June and the bad planing by CONMEBOL will not give "El Turco" time to finish out.

What is your opinion regarding the fact that if Xolos advances Mohamed might not be there anymore?
