Mexican President turns his back on his own political party candidate

"Fernando Castro Trenti is clueless"

Televisa network television host, Carlos Loret de Mola, published this morning a text as evidence of the lack of support from the federal government and the national leadership of the PRI party to Fernando Castro Trenti, who is currently contending in the governor's race in Baja California.

"And if this wasn't enough, from all the way of Los Pinos the instructions have been more clear: not a single dime for Castro Trenti" writes Loret de Mola, emphasizing that the priority for Enrique Peña Nieto is to keep the "Pact for Mexico" (the agreement between Mexican political parties to avoid partisan attacks) and maintain the best relationship in the eyes of the Mexican citizens.

In the text, Loret de Mola also highlights the support that some candidates have received like the candidate from the PAN party, Kiko Vega, who has been supported by Jesus Zambrano (PRD party national leader) and Gustavo Madero (PAN national leader) both in campaign events and in various commercials that are circulating on the internet.

Felipe Ruanova, candidate for governor of the "Citizens Movement" has not received any support at any government level. Meanwhile, Fernando Castro Trenti has been accompanied in the governor's race by the governor from the State of Mexico, Eruviel Avila and the legislator, Manlio Fabio Beltrones, who in recent years has served as mentor to Castro Trenti in his political career.

"The national PRI and the federal government have left their candidate for governor of Baja California on his own. Fernando Castro Trenti, a former legislator who grew up under the teachings of Manlio Fabio Beltrones, is clueless of the most important (but not all) thing that is needed to win an election, money."says Carlos Loret de Mola at the beginning of his text.

Baja California will live through a whole month of campaigns that will culminate on Election Day July 7. The streets throughout the state are flooded daily with political propaganda and are the subject of interest for the time being.

The second debate will be held today between the candidates for governor of Baja California, and it is unknown whether Kiko Vega will attend. The Electoral Institute and Citizen Participation of Baja California have planned for a total of five debates between these candidates.
