San Diego Flash Held Top Top Spot for 24 Hours

FC Hasental took first place back from the Flash, both will now face each other.

SAN DIEGO, CA - At the start of the weekend San Diego Flash found themselves in third place of the NPSL Western South division, tied in points with FC Santa Clarita (17 points) but with a lower goal difference. And one point behind division leaders FC Hasental.

Saturday's 4-2 win over Las Vegas Stallions pushed the San Diego Flash into first place momentarily with 20 points; FC Hasental would take on FC Santa Clarita on Sunday.

FC Hasental got passed FC Santa Clarita with a similar scoreline of 4-2 to regain the top spot in the division and send their rivals to third place below the San Diego Flash. Hasental now has a total of 21 points, Flash are in second place with 20 points and FC Santa Clarita were left behind with 17 points.

With only four more games remaining in the regular season, next Saturday's game will be crucial in the hunt for first place. Top of the table FC Hasental will travel into San Diego to take on the second place Flash. A win by the hometown side will mean sole possession of first place with only three games to defend it.

The match is scheduled for Saturday June 15 at 6:00PM local time from the Del Norte High School stadium in Ranchos Bernardo. Tickets are only $10 for adults and can be purchased on the team website (here) or at the box office the day of the game.
