Xolos will Paly Three Friendlies this Summer

Against America in San Diego, Galaxy in Los Angeles, and a TBD in Tijuana.

TIJUANA B.C. - Club Tijuana is now in preparations of a brand new season with brand new players, brand new coach, and brand new grass. They are just about finishing up the plans for their pre season preparation.

It will be three preparation matches that the Xolos will face starting on July 6 at Petco park against Club America. A game that has unofficially picked up the label "Champion vs Champion" since these are the last two teams to win the Mexican league title.

Four days later the Xoloitzcuitles will be in Los Angeles to take on the LA Galaxy at The Home Depot Center. It is worth mentioning that there is a possibility that these two teams might meet in an official game if both teams find themselves in the final stages of the CONCACAF Champion's League.

It was almost set that the Xolos would face Glasgow Rangers also in the USA on July 15, but the scheduling did not work out for both teams. Club directors will now look for another opponent for the team to face preferably at the Estadio Caliente.

And finally Ignacio Palou informed that the Xolos achieved a UEFA Champions League level rating for the TV station Fox Sports during their participation in the Copa Libertadores; this is why they are being moved to TV Azteca's "Prime Time" slot on Friday nights at 9:30PM Mexico time (7:30PM pacific).
