Meet the New Xolos: Aldo Polo

Defender coming from Correcaminos

TIJUANA B.C. - Aldo Francisco Polo Ramirez is a 29 year old defender who is coming in from Correcaminos which is coached by former Xolos manger Joaquin del Olmo. Polo can play in either left or right back position and is no stranger to new Club Tijuana manager Jorge Almiron; Almiron coached Polo during 2008-2009 at Dorados of Sinaloa in the second division.

Aldo Polo was a recurrent rival for the Xolos in the second division playing with Correcaminos, Dorados, and Leon before getting his chance at first division soccer with Puebla.

He spent two years with Puebla where he played a total of 2,469 minutes during 36 games. 27 of them were as a starter, he saw four yellow cards and one red card.m

On November 4, 2012 Aldo Polo

lived one of his greatest experiences as a soccer player scoring his first goal in first division in a game against Atlas. Puebla were down 2-1 with five minutes of added already gone in the game Polo appeared to equalize the game.

In his last season with Correcaminos he had 12 appearances playing 111 minutes, he scored one goal against Pumas Morelos, saw eight yellow cards and was ejected once.

Club Tijuana will be Polo's fifth professional team and his second first division team. It will be vital for him to gain Almiron's confidence.
