TIJUANA - Club Tijuana midfielder Fernando Arce will have to be released from the Mexican national team due to an injury; that has what Salvador Reyes manger in charge has informed.
Arce joins Hugo Ayala, Oribe Peralta, Omar Bravo, and David Cabrera has players who will not be able to participate in CONCACAF's biggest tournament. Four of them, Arce included due to injury. While Omar Bravo has pleaded a personal family problem.
The Gold Cup is set to begin on July 7 and Mexico will have to choose someone from among the 35 player preliminary list. The most likely candidate to replace Arce is Leon's Luis Montes, even though Xolos' Richard Ruiz could have a surprise call up.
