Judge is murdered in his office

It happened in one of the areas most affected by drug-related violence

Jose Isabel Arrieta Mendoza, a Mexican judge the municipality of Valle de Allende in the northern state of Chihuahua, was shot dead yesterday after two armed men entered his office and shot him, said the Attorney General of Chihuahua, Carlos Gonzalez.

Mendoza had been a judge of the Supreme Court of Mexico and the last ten years had been devoted to his work as a judge who dealt with many areas in law, said a source that was close to the victim to EFE.

Authorities immediately after the incident began an operation to search for the murderers, but no arrests were made.

Valle de Allende is a town of about 4,000 people located in the southern state of Chihuahua, one of the most affected areas by drug-related violence in Mexico.
