Fernando Castro Trenti, a member of the Institutional Revolutionary Party (PRI) and who is currently running for the governor of Baja California, disagreed with homosexual relationships, same-sex marriages and adoptions by these couples, which he expressed on live television in last few minutes of the fourth debate between candidates who are also running for governor of Baja California

In his speech, the candidate of the alliance “Compromiso por Baja California” (Commitment to Baja California), spoke about of how he did not want, for his own family and for Baja California, the “situations” such as what the Democratic Revolutionary Party (PRD) has allowed in the Mexican capital, stressing that the PRD party was part of Kiko Vega’s “United for Baja California” alliance.
