Thanks to a special adult education program, a woman, who is about to turn 100 years old, is now part of a graduating elementary class of 2013.
Manuela Hernandez, who is from the Mexican southern state of Oaxaca, was born a year before the First World War began in 1913, and was never able to go to school because of the economic situation in which her parents were in.
"Every time I learn something, I then tell myself, now no one will be able to trick me," she said in a statement that the program released.
This Mexican woman is a clear example of strength, perseverance and desire. A great example for all.
This once again proves that its never too late to learn.
