PRI party fined for defamation against Kiko Vega

It is something unprecedented and historic for the elections in Baja California

MEXICALI. – Yesterday, Victor Lujanos and Oscar Vega Marin, both from the "United for Baja California"alliance, and who are also the legal advisor and General Coordinator for Kiko Vega's campaign, respectively, said that the "Commitment to Baja California" alliance of the PRI party was fined over 600,000 pesos (about $50K USD), for defamation of character against Francisco Kiko Vega.

Victor Lujanos noted that this fine was given after the IFE's General Council, determined that the accusations made towards Kiko Vega are unfounded, defamatory, and which are nothing but lies.

The fine is something unprecedented and historic for the elections in Baja California.

The General Coordinator of the campaign Oscar Vega said that it is important to inform the public of this sanction, because it continues to prove that they are still beating the PRI party in many territories, which will surely reflect on July 7, when Kiko Vega is elected as the new governor of the state of Baja California.
