17-year –old murdered on Election Day in Mexico

He was recording PRI supporter's buying votes

The first fatality of this years Election Day in Mexico has now been reported, where in the state of Veracruz, the victim Feliciano Castillo recorded the Institutional Revolutionary Party (PRI) supporters exchanging pantries for votes.

This happened in the town of Mecaypan, Veracruz, where according to local media, Castillo was passing through the area where the PRI party militants were distributing pantries and other goods. Castillo then pulled out his cell phone and began to record what was happening. After he was seen, these supporters assaulted him and stabbed him in the stomach.

At the moment there are three people who were arrested, two men whose names were not disclosed and a woman identified as Cruz Ruiz.

A picture of the deceased has begun to circulate through social networks, but the source of the photograph is not known.

Castillo is said to be a member of the Democratic Revolutionary Party (PRD).

The national leader of the yellow party (PRD), Jesus Zambrano, has sent his condolences to the family and made statements that people who attacked Castillo (as reported by Zambrano) were members of the "Antorcha Campesian" group.

Also in Veracruz, the candidate for mayor of Pajapan, Rosita Martinez Facundo, from the red party (PRI) was arrested this morning for exchanging money for votes. These allegations arose after several citizen complained, as well as two party activists from the PAN and PRD party.
