Arce throws first pitch at championship game

He was an honorary Toro during his visit to Estadio Gasmart

TIJUANA - The Tijuana native and Tijuana Xolos player Fernando Arce was the special guest for the ceremonial first pitch of the first game of the championship series between Tijuana Toros and Algodoneros de San Luis at the Estadio Gasmart.

"I'm thankful for the invitation and they thought of me, I hope I can bring them good luck" commented Arce.

Joking around Arce said he felt nervous, a little more nervous than whe playing in the Copa Libertadores where he and the Xolos finished among the top eight teams in all of the Americas.

"Nervous, very nervous; more nervous than the Libertadores (laughs), I hope to throw it well and not make a full of myself.

He confessed that he hasn't been able to follow the team this season, but that he usually enjoys baseball with his family.

"Very little because all of the activity that we have prevents us from following "concluded Arce.
