Two off-duty officers murdered

They were out in the street drinking

Two policemen were killed on Friday night by several gunshots in Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico, by two unidentified men while they were on their day off.

According to the police report, the two died from gunshot wounds were found at around 11:30pm (local time) on a street.

The deceased is a 42-year-old police officer from Guadalajara, who was shot in the face, neck and chest, and another man also 42, was a municipal police officer from the resort town of Puerto Vallarta, who received several gunshots to the neck and chest.

Both men were enjoying their day off, as indicated by their partners who identified their bodies, and were drinking in the street when two unknown men, "without saying a word, began shooting directly at them with a firearm, and fled the scene in an unknown direction."
