"Bruski" of the Week: Vanilla Porter

It can be found in several bars in the city of Tijuana

After a week of tasting microbrews around Baja California, honestly, the Vanilla Porter from the Benton Brewery took me by surprise. And to recommend something that was not present at the Baja Beer Fest 2013 is a bit unusual.

Yesterday the weather in Tijuana was somewhat cool and cloudy. So I went to one of my favorite bars in the city, "El Tigre Bar". After seeing the selection of beers that were available, and that included was the "Vanilla Porter", I decided to give it a try.

Wow, what a delicious beer! This is a porter in its entirety with a touch of vanilla that does not overshadow the other flavors of the beer. Given that vanilla is not an easy item to make alcoholic beverages with, Benton Brewery has done an excellent job in handling all of the elements of this beer.

The Vanilla Porter from the Benton Brewery can be found in several bars in the city of Tijuana like "The Beer Box", "El Tigre Bar" and at the "1994 Bar". Go and grab one soon, because they do run out quickly.
