Raul Enriquez, Tijuana Xolos all time leading goal scorer

Enriquez has reached 81 goals with the Tijuana Xolos jersey.

TIJUANA – The Club Tijuana Xoloitzcuintles forward Raul Enriquez who was registered this season in the second division affiliate team Dorados de Sinaloa; scored this past weekend his 81st goal with the red and black jersey of the Tijuana Xolos stretching his mark as the club’s all time leading goal scorer.

He first arrived at Tijuana during the Apertura 2007 where he played 15 games and only scored three goals after joining them from the Petroleros de Salamanca team.

Enriquez’s first goal with Xolos was against first division side Santos Laguna in friendly hame played at the Unidad Deportiva Municipal CREA.

The first time he scored twice in one match was back in the sixth week of the Apertura 2008 season when he scored at minute 81 and 88 against Real Colima.

Enriquez inscribed his name in the team’s history books scoring the first ever Xolos ‘Hat-Trick’ in the 13th week of the Apertura 2008 season when he scored in minute 30, 54, and 89 against Club Deportivo Tapatio in the Estadio Jalisco in Guadalajara.

That was not the only ‘Hat-Trick’ Enriquez would score, in the Apertura 2009 Enriquez once again made Club Tujuana history scoring the first ‘Hat-Trick’ at the Estadio Caliente when he scored three time on Cruz Azul Hidalgo during minutes 28, 29, and 78.

Importance on the field

There are three teams which really fear Enriquez: Cruz Azul Hidalgo who Enriquez has managed to score on seven times, Petroleros de Salamanca who have received six of Raul’s goals and Lobos BUAP which Enriquez’s has scored on five occasions.

Every time Enriquez is on the field the team is more likely to win. With Enriquez on the field Xolos have managed 47 wins, 13 draws, and only seven losses.

His return to Tijuana might be short lived, but Enriquez has made it clear how important he is to Club Tijuana and will surely return once again so that the Tijuana fans can celebrate along with him.
