Club Tijuana will be looking for their first win away from the comforts of the Estadio Caliente under new manager Jorge Almiron. Xolos have lost both rod games so far in the domestic league 2-1 against Morelia on week 3 and against Monterrey this past Saturday in week 6. The Xoloitzcuintles also have 0-0 draw from their visit to El Salvador in their first game of the CCL.

CD Victoria who were the Honduras runners up finishers in lat season have started the new season with one win and two losses in their first three matches. They will be making their CCL debut against Club Tijuana. Victoria has only won the Honduran league once in 1994 and have finished runners up in two occasion; 2006 and 2012.

Historic Xolos goal scorer Raul Enriquez will most likely be making his CCL debut with Club Tijuana, and young 18 year old Paul Arriola could also see some minutes due to his surprising stealer performances coming off the bench. Arriola netted the lone Xolos goal on Saturday night in what seemed like it would have given the Tijuana side a point.

U.S. internationals Joe Corona and Edgar Castillo might have traveled with the team but might see some bench time due to their high activity rate. They both started in Saturday’s loss to Monterrey as well as traveled last week to Europe with the USMNT in their win against Bosnia.
