Tijuana Xolos reactions: Saucedo sees a positive balance this past week

Oswaldo Sanchez and Dario Benedetto also spoke after the match.

TIJUANA – Club Tijuana Xoloitzcuintles once again let go of points after conceding a late goal. But the team feels that after the long list off games in such a short time and considering the opponent's quality the 1-1 draw against Santos is not such a bad result and that the over all balance of this past week is a positive one.

Cirilo Sauced spoke about the two biggest plays that he was involved in the game; the short distance power shot from Carlos Darwin Quintero in the first half and the play in which Santos scored their goal where Oribe has a shot and Jesus Escoboza taps in the rebound.

"Darwin received the ball and he had it all to score, luckily I'm able to reach and block the shot. In the other Oribe Peralta cuts inside and shots, I'm able to get a hand on the ball and someone; I don't know who comes in and pushes in the ball. We have to get better" said the Tijuana Xolos goalkeeper.

Argentine forward Dario Benedetto made his return from injury and despite only playing 45 minutes he was a key aspect in the Tijuana attack during the first half.

"It was hurting a bit, that's why the manager decides to take me off. But hopefully in time this will stop hurting and I can continue playing football" commented the Argentine forward.

For the Santos side Oswaldo Sanchez spoke and mentioned that the point on the road will be very valuable as long as they can keep winning at home.

"It was an even match, Santos did not deserve to lose; especially for what we did in the second half. We need to have better finishing in front of goal, but we will return home content with the draw" finalized the former Mexican National team goalkeeper.
