TIJUANA - Club Tijuana Xoloitzcuintles continue their undefeated streak at home (which now stands at 9 games), but do not improve on their chances to qualify into the Mexican league playoffs. They finish the match against Cruz Azul tonight with a 0-0 draw.

The first half was a very strongly fought and even affair. Check out the halftime time report. Both teams came out with the intentions of attacking each other, but ended up canceling each other out as the first half went on.

The best chances of the half came in the early minutes. Dario Benedetto who would later suffer another injury got by a couple defenders on his way into the box, but he was unable to get a shot off with his weaker foot.

Mariano Pavone answered right back for Cruz Azul as he too slipped by a couple defenders on his way into the box. Pavone had a strong shot on goal that Saucedo was able to block with his foot.

The rest of the first half was a gritty midfield battle which no team was able to win. But for the second half the home side dominated the entire 45 minutes.

Xolos wanted that goal and came out and pressured the Cruz azul goal with everything they had. But were unable to find it.

In the 56th minute Arce had a curling shot that Jesus Corona was barely able to get a hand on to save the Cruz Azul goal.

Pablo Aguilar had the best scoring chance in the 63rd minute when Fernando Arce's free kick found Aguilar all alone in the center of the box. Aguilar's header went just wide of the goal.

Club Tijuana will now host C.D. Victoria in the CONCACAF Champion's League during the week in a meaningless game since Xolos are already qualified to the next round of the continental competition. Before heading to Puebla next Sunday.
