Daniel Radcliffe could play Freddy Mercury in the big screen

He was asked to replace Sacha Baron Cohen in the film about Queen's singer

The production of the biographical film in honor of Freddy Mercury, vocalist, pianist and songwriter for Queen, has suffered a setback due to creative differences between the actor playing the lead role, Sacha Baron Cohen, and the remaining members of the band who are currently developing the project.

Cohen wanted to portray the part of Mercury's Life with nothing less than scandals, while Brian May and Roger Tayler would rather focus on the films story with an artistic and familiar aspect. This is why the actor has decided to quit the project leaving the door open for any other actor who would want to play the role of one of the most influential musicians in contemporary rock.

According to the British newspaper Daily Star, the producers of this film have the 24 year old actor, Daniel Radcliffe, in their sights as the possible replacement for Cohen, which would actually be an excellent opportunity for him both artistically and economically.

The newspaper informed that if he takes this role, it would be his highest paid performance yet, even more so than his incredible successful role as Harry Potter.

"They have informed Daniel Radcliffe that the job is his, if he wants it" a source informed the newspaper. "Despite his young age, Daniel has impressed the directors with his interpretation of the homosexual poet, Allen Ginsburg, in the film that was released earlier this year "Kill your darlings", besides he is closer to Freddy Mercury's height than Cohen, who is very tall, not to mention that Daniel can also sing as well"

How do you think Daniel Radcliffe would look portraying the late great Freddy Mercury?
