TIJUANA - Club Tijuana Xoloitzcuintles will return home home to play their fourth game in a matter of eight days. Picking up two straight losses on the road in their visits to Puebla and Club America, they are in much need of their home field advantage to pick up some points.

The Tijuana Xolos vs Queretaro match for the 13th week of the Apertura 2013 season of the Liga Bancomer MX is scheduled for Friday October 4 at 7:30PM local time in the Estadio Caliente in Tijuana.

The Xoloitzcuintles find themselves in the 12th position of the table six points behind a playoff spot. Their opponents Queretaro are currently sitting on the last playoff spot (8th place). The win will be crucial for Club Tijuana’s aspirations of making the playoffs as it would cut the deficit in half between them and Queretaro.

The Xolos have had a good form at home and will need to count on that form to get the win over the visiting Queretaro. The one issue of concern for Tijuana will be player fatigue since this will be the fourth game in just eight days. A marathon of games that started last Thursday night with a 6-0 win in the CONCACAF Champion’s League over Club Deportivo Victoria, followed by a 2-0 loss to Puebla last Sunday, and another 2-0 loss to Club America on Tuesday night.

Xolos will be without their captain Javier Gandolfi for this match who picked up a hamstring injury during the team’s 2-0 loss to Puebla on Sunday. He joins fellow Argentine Dario Benedetto with similar injuries.
