Mexico's Triple AAA baseball starts today

The best Mexican baseball is lead by Ciudad Obregon Yaquis

SAN DIEGO, CA.- Mexico's Northern Region has always been in love with baseball, and its most powerful league, the Pacific Mexican League (better known in the United States as Mexico's Winter League) starts its 2013 season today with one great match up: three-times-champions, Ciudad Obregon Yaquis, against Mexicali Aguilas in Sonora.

Yaquis wants to repeat its dominance over the league with a fourth title, while Mexicali reinforced its squad and hired superstar Luis Suarez, whom had an impressive average of .413 at bat with Puebla Pericos in the Mexican Baseball League (Mexico's Summer League).

Other opening series are: Guasave Algodoneros against Los Mochis Cañeros, Culiacan Tomateros will take on the Mazatlan Venados and Hermosillo Naranjeros will receive the visit from Navojoa Mayos.

A welcome change

As a Triple AAA league sanctioned by Major League Baseball (MLB), the Pacific Mexican League will give its fans a great service this season, by broadcasting all games online thanks to the LMPitv, a new service like MLB TV which will let baseball fanatics watch every one of the 272 regular season games, plus Playoffs and even the next Serie del Caribe (Caribbean Series) games. Prices start at 9 US Dollars per one month, but one can buy the whole package for less than 40 dollars.

This service will give the league a big boost, making games available to more fans; the Pacific Mexican League also made deals with ESPN and Fox Sports in Mexico to broadcast most of the games via cable.
