TOLUCA - Club Tijuana Xoloitzcuintles will return on Sunday to a special field. The field where a little less than a year ago they were crowned Mexican league champions. As they return to the Estadio Nemezio Diez, Xolos are in desperate need of a win away from home in order to stay alive in the race for the playoffs.

Toluca vs Tijuana match for the 14th week of the Apertura season of the Liga Bancomer MX is scheduled for Sunday 12:00PM local time (10:00AM pacific) from the Estadio Nemezio Diez in Toluca.

The Xoloitzcuintles are still in the fight for a playoff spot thanks to their solid form at home where they hold an 11 game unbeaten streak. But their form away from the Estadio Caliente this season has been horrible; one draw and five losses. In order to remain in the fight Xolos must win their first game on the road.

Club Tijuana currently sit in 9th place with 16 points, only one place outside of the playoff zone; Chiapas FC who is currently in 8th place has 20 points. In order to remain within striking distance of that 8th place spot Xolos will need all three points.

The opponent on hand for Tijuana will be Toluca who have surprised many with their good form this season which has them in 4th place with 23 points. Not much was expected of Toluca this season after letting go of manager Enrique Meza and bringing in club legend Jose Saturnino Cardozo.

Toluca are currently on a four game unbeaten streak (three of those consecutive wins). Through those four games they have scored 14 goals. They will definitely a tough test for a Xolos defensive line which has really struggled this season, especially on the road.
