Baja and Tijuana restaurants on list of Latin America's best

Four in Tijuana, three in the Guadalupe Valley and two in Ensenada are part of the 101 best restaurants

Rankings and honors like this come at a time of uncertainty for the future of the region and its culinary and wine industry, due to the changes in land use approved recently by the Ensenada city council (face with heavy criticism and even a tough citizens campaign against it).

Tijuana ties Mexico City and Oaxaca as the place with the most restaurants on the list from Mexico, four each one. The rest of the Mexican restaurants that made it in the Top 101 are listed bellow, with the Mexico City restaurant "Biko" the best placed at number seven overall:/p]

    78. La Marea Restaurante (Playa del Carmen, Mexico)
    72. Los Danzantes (Oaxaca, Mexico)
