TIJUANA - Club Tijuana Xoloitzcuintles has a new manager. It is former Venezuelan National Team head coach Cesar Farias who after several hours of negotiating via telephone from Venezuela has come to an agreement with the Xoloitzcuintles directors to take over the the team.

During the past few weeks it was mentioned by the media with a certain degree of confidence that Farias would be the next manager of the Xolos; and it was finally made official today by Farias from South America. This will be the Xolos’ third consecutive South American manager since Farias will be following Argentines Antonio “Turco” Mohamed and Jorge “Negro” Almiron.

Farias will arrive at Tijuana following a five year spell with his National team where he led Venezuela to a historic semifinal in the 2011 Copa America. This will be Farias first venture abroad in Mexico with the border town team.

The players who reported back to duty yesterday trained under one of the U-20 trainers that usually works under Diego Torres. During the course of today in their double session workouts the team will be notified.
