Big Zonkeys victory in extra time

Amazing game played in Culiacan, Sinaloa

CULIACAN, SINALOA.- After finding itself down by 8 points in the second quarter, Tijuana Zonkeys had a big reaction and ended up winning 95-86 against Culiacan Caballeros to get its third consecutive victory in the Basketball Circuit of the Pacific Coast (Cibacopa in Spanish).

The team is still undefeated in the league and will play against Caballeros tomorrow, looking for a sweep.

James Penny was the best man of the night for Zonkeys with 24 points scored, while getting 5 assists, 17 rebounds and 3 blocks. He was helped with 20 units by Marcus Morrison and Arim Solares.

For the local side, 37 points were scored by Benjamin Pucket, while Dallas Logan got 18, and Michael Lizarraga and Brandon Heredia both scored only 9 units.

Zonkeys found itself down by 8 points in the second quarter, but was able to react to tie the game 42-42 at half time and latter once again 82-82 at the end of the fourth quarter.

In extra time a 2 pointer was quickly followed by a 3 pointer by Marcus Morrison, which ended up in killing any hope from Caballeros to tie the game, as Tijuana never lost the advantage.
