displayed the first actions for Baja California's promotion

Baja California Week in Mexico City was held from February 10th to the 14th, the event served to reposition Baja California as the number one state by attracting investment and promoting strategic projects that the government will boost over the next six years to maintain the state's competitiveness.

The event was held at Mexico City's Industrial Club, forums in the state's strategic sectors and those with the greatest potential, such as aerospace, mining, manufacturing, infrastructure, energy, agriculture, fishing, tourism, as well as gastronomic, artistic and cultural activities were part of the activities.

During the first day of activities, the governor Francisco Vega de Lamadrid gave a speech where he emphasized the state's benefits in terms of raw materials and industry. He mentioned that everything is part of the 2013-2019 Strategic Plan which will present opportunities both to investors and citizens to ask these to participate in Baja California's growth.

"We are committed to raising the levels of direct foreign investment by at least $1 billion dollars a year. We are promoting, along with the federal government, a strong investment in infrastructure, especially in ports and railways to facilitate mobility," he said.
