San Diego Regional Chamber of Commerce: Serving the business community since 1871

The night's event included honors for businesses, leaders and a look back at the Chamber's foundations.

Last February we celebrated the 143 anniversary of the Regional Chamber of Commerce in San Diego (SDRCHC), founded in 1871 in order to organize the business community to help make San Diego a better place to do business.

Jerry Sanders, President of the SDRCHC, welcomed everyone to the event. He said that all these years of service have been about great influence in obtaining benefits, such as the growth of public transit, the strengthening of infrastructure to generate profits, labor, economic and tourism, the promotion of the development of the State laws, treaties of free trade, etc. All for the benefit of business growth.
