Baja Craft Beers announces the "2014 Craft Beer Expo"

The largest craft beer fest in Tijuana

Close to thirty-eight breweries and sixteen restaurants are scheduled to participate in the 2014 Craft Beer Expo, which will take place on the 30th and 31st of May, in front of the Mercado Hidalgo, along with live music and other fair.

During a media tour, Ruben Valenzuela, general coordinator for the event, stated that this year's event will have more brewery offerings than last year. The event will take place between 2pm and 2am. Musical guests will include DJ SET, Bostich + Fussible, Los Cuerdos, TJ Floyd, Doping Positivo, Octano, Dr. Shenka de Panteoon Roco, and many others; meanwhile, amongst other urban fair offered, some restaurants featured will include Maquina 65, Lunch Box, Verde y Crema, and Caza Club.

According to Valenzuela, the Craft Beer Expo is a unique event in this region, including the fact that it will be hosted under a tent filled with colorful balloons inside similar to events hosted in Europe. It is meant to appeal not just to beer enthusiasts but to the public at large as well.

Valenzuela highlighted that, in terms of beer culture, there is no border between Tijuana and the U.S., since many participants will be San Diego breweries, as well as US visitors in tours, which is likely to result in a diverse crowd. He emphasized the fact that Baja California has the best craft beer in the country, and tourism is attracted by this unique product.

Finally, he mentioned that they anticipate close to eight thousand people at the expo, and further extended an invitation to the public with the hopes of attracting more visitors. This invitation is in conjunction with

tourist promotion campaigns in the city aimed at increasing the city's affluence. Tickets can be purchased for sale at BCB Tasting Room.
