Erick "Cubo" Torres dreams of Olymipic Games

The Chivas USA striker spoke about El Tri

LOS ANGELES - Mexican striker Erick "El Cubo" Torres scored his 16th career MLS goal to lead Chivas USA to a 1-1 draw against their biggest rivals LA Galaxy on Sunday evening. The goal has him tied with legendary Mexican striker Cuauhtemoc Blanco as the highest goal scorers from Mexico.

Following the match Torres gave his thought on the Mexican National Team that prepares its participation in the FIFA World Cup as well as his own personal ambition.

"Yeah, big events are coming up in the next few years" said "Cubo" Torres "Copa America next summer and the Olympic Games that I should be part of."

Come 2016 the young striker will be of prime age for the Rio Games and he is looking forward to representing his country.

On the current state of El Tri, Torres feels that Mexico have some great individual talent that can lead the team to success; but also says they need to be careful on the set pieces.

"I think Mexico have some outstanding players" says Torres "They have always had great players. And as a Mexican I can't wait to see go far.

"Without disrespecting anyone; I think the team could work on the set pieces. This is still something that is hurting the team."
