World Cup Provokes Chinese Man’s Death

The Doctor indicated that his death was provoked by lack of sleep

CHINA.- Without a doubt, the 2014 World Cup in Brazil has caused great excitement amongst soccer aficionados throughout the world, even though it may involve watching the game anywhere between midnight and 6am in the case of those who live in China, where aficionados watch the game although their team is not participating.

A young man of 25 years of age died in the city of Suzhou, in Eastern China, due to what the attending doctor described as lack of sleep. While specifics are still under investigation the cause of death might be physical exhaustion or a heart attack.

Unfortunately, the body of the young man was found at the end of the Holland v. Spain match, where Spain was defeated 5-1 and ended at 5am in China, just three days after the World Cup kicked off.

Mexico and the US have experienced similar circumstances, although without reported deaths, when the World Cup was hosted in Japan-Korea in 2002, and aficionados had to wake up at 3am in order to watch the matches.
