Moreno and Peralta excited for win and think of bigger things

The defender and striker gave their thoughts after the match.

The Mexican National Team managed their first objective of this World Cup which was the qualification to the round of 16. Seven points from the three group matches is what "El Tri" players have achieved and now will go up against Group B leader Netherlands.

Following the match Mexican players were all excited, but still managed to give their clear impressions of the match and the group stage. Central defender Hector Moreno explained the struggles of facing a side like Croatia.

"We knew that with their (Croatia) characteristics it would be a struggle for Mexican soccer" said Hector Moreno to Mexican TV station TV Azteca "but we trusted ourselves and the work we have done. And thank god for the support of all these people and the hard work of all my teammates we did a great game.

"We knew what Croatia had, what conditions they came in with" continued Moreno "but I think we contained them well. And maybe after the three goals the team might have relaxed a little."

Starting striker Oribe Peralta on the other hand highlighted the unity of the team as the strongest aspect which in his mind is the key for all of their current and future success.

"The truth is we mentality prepared for this, to play with out pressure, to win. Because today we had to win, to leave no doubts. We knew a draw would've got us through but that didn't matter.

"We are very strong in all lines and the group is very united and that is the most important. With the unity of this team we can fight against any team"
