San Diego Clasico Canceled

Xolos were scheduled to face Cruz Azul at Petco Park, but event is canceled.

SAN DIEGO - Club Tijuana Xoloitzcuintles de Caliente were scheduled to take on Cruz Azul on the same night that second division affiliates Dorados de Sinaloa were scheduled to take on Mexico City Giants Club America. But the double header event called San Diego Clasico has been "rescheduled" due to poor ticket sells.

The San Diego Clasico was scheduled for this upcoming Saturday July 12th at San Diego's Petco Park.

HMC Advertising and Pazzo Sports (the organizers) sent out a press release earlier this week were they explain that due to the FIFA World Cup going on, the event has suffered and that ticket sells were not what they expected.

"Due to the fact that fans are more focused on the FIFA World Cup, we have not had the same response from the fans." Said Anthony Fernandez, Pazzo Sports president. "For that reason we have decided to reschedule our gran event for the fall."
