Three Xolos players called up to USMNT U-20

Paul Arriola, John Raquejo, and Fernando Arce Jr. all called up by USMNT.

TIJUANA - Club Tijuana Xoloitzcuintles de Caliente had three of their youth players called up to the United States Men's National Team (USMNT) U-20 squad informed the club in an official press release. Paul Arriola John Raquejo and Fernando Arce Jr. will all join the youth National Team in a friendly tournament in Los Angeles, Calif.

The three players will participate in the National Training Center Invitational Tournament starting on July 14th and ending on the 18th at the StubHub Center in Los Angeles, Calif. They will go up against Australia, Bermuda, and Chile.

This will be the first ever call up to represent the National Team for San Diego native Fernando Arce Jr. son of the former Club Tijuana midfielder Fernando Arce.

"This means a lot for me since I have worked really hard to get here" mentioned Arce Jr. for the club website. "I had been called up twice before, but was not able to go, now I have to take advantage of this opportunity since they don't come by very often."

In the case of the other two; Paul Arriola and John Raquejo they are long time veterans of the USMNT youth teams. Both have climbed up the ranks of the USMNT and even participated in the U-17 FIFA World Cup.
