One of the most interested teams to hire him are German giants Bayern Munich, a team that according to Spanish media have announced that they've reached a complete and verbal agreement with the midfielder for a transfer.

With the arrivals of players like James Rodriguez and World Champion Toni Kroos, Alonso's options to stay in the starting line-up have dramatically diminished. Spanish media outlet 'La Sexta' assures, Xabi Alonso will be going to Bundesliga this week. Real Madrid have also stated that if this a decision made by Alonso himself, they wouldn't oppose to his more than likely transfer.

Bayern Munich manager Pep Guardiola is still trying to cover the last minute Javi Martinez absence from the fields by first acquiring the services of Roma's Moroccan defender Mehdi Benatia.
