MEXICO CITY. "Mexico Beer" is the largees event held each year in the Latin American industry, with more than 150 brewers, importers, exporters, and supply chain services in attendance. The event includes competitions for each style, and this year Baja California brewers swept up medals at the event in all categories.
"Cervecería Wendlandt" from Ensenada took home three medlas. The gold metal for "Foca Parlante" in the Stout Beer category, silver medal with their "Perro del Mar" in the IPA category, and the bronze medal for their well-known "Vaquita Marina" in the Pale Ale category. "Lúdica Artesanal" may be a new brewery but this hasn't stopped them from gaining recognition in Baja California and now at "Cerveza México", because they won a silver medal in the category of Belgian Beers with their beer named "Aura". Another big winner was "Cervecería Agua Mala", who took home the gold in the High Alcohol Content category, for their internationally recognized "Astillero IPA", which has won many medals in various competitions. Learn more about "Cervecería Agua Mala" on their official website .

One thing for sure is that 2014 is the year of[ "Cervecería Insurgente" since they not only are recently installed in new facilities and their recent
[p]collaboration with "Stone Brewery", but also they are one of the big winners at Mexico Beer 2014, with more than three gold medals with their "La Lupulosa", "Brown" and "Golden Strong" , each in a different category. They also won the award of Best Beer at the event and were crowned as Best Brewery.
