4th CHEESE, WINE AND CRAFT BEER FESTIVAL

A unique occasion to submerge oneself in knowledge and tastings of the region's three gastronomic treasures

On July 26th, in the Baja California Center in Playas de Rosarito, the fourth Cheese, Wine and Craft Beer Festival was celebrated; a unique occasion to submerge oneself in knowledge and tastings of the region's three gastronomic treasures.

The purpose: strengthen the competitiveness, productivity, promotion and commercialization of Baja California's agriculture and fish products, as said the Secretary of Farming and Livestock Promotion (SEFOA), Manual Valladolid Seamanduras.

On his behalf, the Secretary of Tourism, Oscar Escobedo Carignan, commented that this festival helped the SEFOA obtain the "2013 Prize for the Best Commercial Event," given by the Baja California Center in Committee.

Both secretaries were accompanied by the State Director of Fishing, Victor Ibanez Ezquer.

Between drinks and bites, those assisting the festival enjoyed cheese, wine, craft beer, fish and seafood, as well as olive oil, honey, dates, artisanal breads and salsas; products for which those from Baja California feel great devotion towards.

To add some ambiance to the event, Son d'Palo, Jetset, Alexa, as well as Gustavo Diaz y su Acordeon played music, dances from San Quintin's Danza Pavlova School, Ensenada's Omou Pilkuyak Mexican Dance Group, and Leilani de Tijuana's Polynesian Dance performed and Monica Gasca's artwork was on display.
