Missing Students Not Found as More Burial Pits Uncovered

Nine New Burial Pits Uncovered, but none of the bodies are that of missing students.

GUERRERO.-The search for the 43 missing students of the teacher training college, Normal "Isidro Burgos" has come to a dead end. The search for the students, known as "normalistas", who went missing on the evening of September 26th in Iguala, Guerrero, continues. Authorities and a volunteer search team continue to search for the missing students, who are feared dead. After more than two weeks since their disappearance, and reports that the police were responsible for their murder, search teams continue to uncover fresh burial pits and have tested DNA only to find that there is not match with any of the missing students. This begs the question, if not the missing students, then who are they?

Just yesterday alone, four new burial pits were found in a hillside area known as Cerro de la Parota[/i], located in the municipality of Xochistlahuaca, Guerrero. These new burial pits will also receive forensic analysis just as the five previous uncovered pits, to determine if any of the bodies match the DNA of the 43 missing students.

Just three days ago, Guerrero's State Governor, Ángel Aguirre Rivero, stated that based on forensic results, the bodies found in the first five uncovered pits do not match DNA of the students of Ayotzinapa. However, four more have yet to be analyzed. This means that nine new burial pits have been uncovered since the night the students disappeared.

Who are all these people and why wasn't there already a search in place for them? Far from offering any answers, the rotten and corrupt system is becoming more and more evident as the unanswered questions mount. Citizens of the state are demanding that the governor resign and [url=http://www.ruffo.mx/senadores-del-pan-solicitan-al-jefe-del-ejecutivo-la-renuncia-del-procurador-de-la-republica/]senators of the PAN party (the National Action Party) are also asking for the resignation of Jesus Murillo Karam, the Attorney General of Mexico.

"We the senators gave Attorney General Murillo Karam a vote of confidence, and this has now been lost. The omissions on behalf of the Attorney General of the Republic in the case of the missing normalistas has forced us to ask for his resignation, and we have presented this request directly to the President", said Jorge Luis Preciado, Coordinator of Senators during a recent press conference.

"The organized citizenry has united to put pressure and force change" said Senator Ernesto Ruffo Appel of the State of Baja California. We are seeing this with the students and faculty of various universities that are joining non-governmental organizations for human rights to uncover the truth behind this tragic incident".
