TIJUANA.- In order to strengthen their friendly working relationship, and work on an agenda to promote effective economic development of the cross-border region, Tijuana Mayor Jorge Astiazarán and San Diego Council member David Alvarez met to discuss various topics of interest.

During the meeting, they discussed the bi-national railway, which will attract both international and national investment in the manufacturing sector well as create new job opportunities for people in the region, as well as increase imports and exports for both sides of the border once completed.

Another topic on the agenda was the importance of increasing tourism in the Cali-Baja region and the interest of both sides of the border to work on creating a campaign that will benefit both regions.
