Investment in community is most effective way to reduce crime

TIJUANA.- "Tijuana is different than other places in the country because it has a huge potential to take steps to reduce crimes", said former Mayor of New York City, Rudy Giuliani, during a joint-conference with Tijuana Mayor Jorge Astiazaran, titled "Principled Leadership: In the Face of Change and Crisis", one of the head-line events at this years edition of Tijuana Innovadora.

"It is apparent that crime concerns are common in any city, however, Tijuana stands out because of all of the tools we have to combat it and one of the greatest examples is the success that Rudy Giuliani achieved in New York. We will do our best to ensure that his advice is implemented in this region," said Mayor Astiazaran.
