Tijuana's craft brewer's representative, Jose Estrada Garcia, indicated that the ability to continue producing and selling products legally, and in a way that adapts to the market's needs given that they do not have the resources of large brewers is important, because this industry has now become an important tourist attraction for the city.

During the event, the importance of craft beer was discussed at great length, and the numerous awards received at international industry events were showcased. One of the main reasons why this industry is receiving so much support is that it is similar to what happened with the Valle de Guadalupe wine country, which has become one of the state's most emblematic attractions, and something that could easily replicate with craft beer.

Tijuana Mayor Jorge Astiazaran was in attendance at the event, and indicated that "if you are in agreement, during the next council meeting we will present this project, and convince everybody because we want to support you and the city of Tijuana, we will support you on your trip to Mexico City, so that we can continue to tell of the good things coming out of Tijuana."
